Willowbrook’s boys golf team opened its 2026 season by competing in the 16-team St. Laurence Invite, which took place Aug. 13 at Green Garden Country Club in Frankfort. The Warriors placed 10th in the event’s team standings with their score of 342. Bishop McNamara won the team title with its total of 304.
Senior Kyle Yopchick delivered Willowbrook’s best round of the competition, posting an 18-hole score of 80 on the par-72 course. Senior Gage Dondzik-Clardy fired an 87 for the Warriors. Junior Finn Morgan also turned in a score of 87, while sophomore Daniel Dragovich carded an 88 to round out Willowbrook’s contributing scores in the team’s score of 342 (80+87+87+88).
Senior Cooper Coulter, who shot a 91, and senior Ryan Franz, who turned in a score of 93, completed Willowbrook’s lineup in the event.
The Warriors were scheduled to play their home opener earlier this week against Elmwood Park at Sugar Creek Golf Course.
