The Village of Villa Park recently announced that it was excited to welcome Joel Holler, Andrew Pechnik, and Nicholas Boryk to the Villa Park Police Department. Holler joins the department as a lateral officer after spending 26 years with the Chicago Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant. Holler grew up in Villa Park. His father is a retired Villa Park Police Sergeant, and his uncle served as Villa Park’s Chief of Police in the 1980s.
“We are fortunate to have Joel bring his extensive experience and knowledge to our organization,” stated last week’s announcement from the village and the police department.
Pechnik, who is a college graduate, is also a pilot and a flight instructor. Boryk is a college graduate with a master’s degree in cybersecurity.
Holler will begin his Field Training Program immediately. Pechnik and Boryk will attend the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy, which begins this month.
“Please join us in welcoming Joel, Andrew, and Nicholas to the Villa Park Police Department,” noted the recent announcement. “We are excited to have them join our team and wish them success in this next chapter of their careers.”
