Villa Park recycle event May 16, 9 a.m. to noon

Recycle from the safety and comfort of your vehicle. Drive your car to each station, and volunteers will collect and remove items for safe disposal. Simply load your car, drive to the event, and volunteers will be ready to assist. Let us do the heavy lifting. Residents should stay in their vehicles at all times and pack all of their recyclable items in the trunk of their vehicles. If possible, residents should pack items in easy-to-carry boxes, clearly labeled with the contents. The Spring Sweep event is located along Home Ave. Cars will be heading eastbound on Home Avenue, entering on the West side of Home Ave. Traffic will enter from northbound Harvard Avenue and exit onto Ardmore Avenue. This event is free for Villa Park residents. If any vendors have a fee for certain items, it will be noted below. There is a $20 flat fee per vehicle for non-residents for electronics and paper shredding. Visit scarce.org for details.
